Fears Of Technology

The world has jumped miles as to the development and innovation of technology. However as we keep going on this trend we have developed many fears of this very intelligent and advanced tech we have created. In the past we have fantasized in movies and books about robots taking over the world, but as we get more and more advanced with our technology we  have been getting closer and closer to this possibly becoming a reality.

The question we have to answer for ourselves is do we really need all this advanced technology possibly in the near future smarter than us humans. Should there be a line, a point which we have to stop before these things happen.

According the Kevin Dickinson of BigThink.com After all these years of creating all these advanced tech we have developed 6 major fears. Some things that happen to us but a majority happening to the tech themselves.

Some of these fears are not reasonable, some are just out of reach and some are already happening and have been happening already for many years. Our Fears are mainly of these robots going to far with certain tasks such as creating products and doing things by themselves. Other however are things revolving around us changing due to using technology. Using this like virtual reality could cause damage to emotions and knowing what's real or not.

My thoughts on all of this is that there should be limits to everything we do many things are good but if we take it to far they become bad. I think The same applies with all this advanced technology there should be a line at which we stop. Phone and computers are good for us but we cant make robots to do everything for us. Then there will be no point for us in living anymore. There will be nothing to achieve nothing to do I think this is very bad.

This Quote from Elon Musk himself I thought was really interesting. He said “I’m very close to cutting edge Of AI, and it scares the hell out of me.” The reason I thought this was very interesting is because if it scares the hell out of him why would he keep with creating things like this. Like think about it why are people like Musk actually making these robots. Is it just for the money or is there another reason. Like why continue making these things with all these great fears about them.

Yes technology is great, I think most of us can agree on this but ask the question to yourself do we really wanna keep creating more advanced AI and practically program ourselves out of existence.
